Alma Lake Restoration

The "Clean Up Clam" initiative focuses on rejuvenating Alma Lakes' ecological balance using suitable clam species. These clams will naturally filter the water, reducing pollution, controlling eutrophication, and enhancing biodiversity. This project addresses key environmental challenges to convert the lake into a sustainable urban haven.

About the project

Starting point

Extensive research from similar ecosystems underpins the introduction of natural filtration methods using clams. Studies emphasize the potential success and effectiveness of such methods.

Support from local communities

We are in discussions with Emaar, the developers of the Alma Community Lake. The collaboration aims to introduce suitable clam species to the lake, sourced carefully to ensure the best adaptation and results.

End result

Reducing turbidity and improving water clarity, this project will enhance biodiversity and transform Alma Lakes into a model for sustainable lake management.
